Itinerary
| 06:00 AM | Hotel pickup in Cusco Early VIP departure — private transport picks you up from your hotel in the Cusco historic center. Earlier start means fewer crowds at every site. |
| 07:00 AM | Chinchero Textile Center Live demonstration of traditional alpaca wool spinning, natural dyeing using plants, mosses and insects, and backstrap loom weaving by local Quechua women in traditional dress. The visit to the textile center is a genuine cultural experience — not a tourist show. Optional: purchase handmade alpaca garments directly from the artisans. |
| 08:00 AM | Chinchero Archaeological Site & Colonial Church Explore the Inca ruins of Chinchero — agricultural terraces, Inca walls, and platforms once thought to be the royal estate of Inca Túpac Yupanqui. Visit the stunning 17th-century colonial church built directly on the foundations of an Inca palace — a powerful symbol of cultural fusion. |
| 10:00 AM | Maras Salt Ponds Over 3,000 salt pools cascading down a hillside, still operated by local families using the same techniques for thousands of years. One of the most photogenic and unique landscapes in all of Peru. |
| 11:00 AM | Moray Circular Terraces The Incas’ agricultural experiment center — concentric circular terraces creating up to 15 different microclimates at each level. Your guide explains the genius of Inca agriculture and climate engineering. |
| 12:30 PM | Buffet Lunch in Urubamba Stop at a family-run restaurant in Urubamba for a delicious buffet lunch featuring traditional Andean cuisine. Vegetarian options available. |
| 14:00 PM | Ollantaytambo Fortress The crown jewel of the Sacred Valley — a massive living Inca fortress and town. Explore the Temple of the Sun, water fountains, and military terraces. The town itself still follows the original Inca grid layout from 500 years ago. |
| 16:00 PM | Pisac Archaeological Site Final stop — the spectacular cliff-top Pisac ruins with agricultural terraces, temples, water channels, Inca roads, aqueducts, and panoramic views of the Sacred Valley. One of the largest and most impressive Inca sites in the region. |
| 18:00 PM | Return to Cusco Private transport back to your hotel in Cusco. Arrive approximately 19:00–19:30. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does this tour start at 6:00 AM?
The early start is the VIP advantage — you arrive at Chinchero, Maras, and Moray before the tour buses from Cusco, giving you a much more peaceful and authentic experience at each site.
Is the textile demonstration authentic?
Yes. The Chinchero textile centers are run by local Quechua women who have practiced these techniques their entire lives. You’ll see the full process — from raw alpaca wool to finished garment — using only natural dyes from plants, mosses, and insects like cochineal.
Which ruins are covered by the Tourist Ticket?
The Tourist Ticket covers Chinchero, Moray, Ollantaytambo, and Pisac. The Maras Salt Ponds have a separate entrance fee of S/20 (~$5 USD).
Is this tour suitable for children?
Absolutely. The textile demonstration is fascinating for children, the walks are manageable, and the ruins are accessible. Children under 8 are free at most sites.
Is this a good tour for acclimatization?
Yes — the Sacred Valley sits 400–700m lower than Cusco. However note that Chinchero is at 3,762m — slightly higher than Cusco — so take it easy in the morning and hydrate well.
