Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change unexpectedly. The following policy applies to all tours and services booked with Wayra Adventures.
Cancellations by the Client

Non-Refundable Items
The following items are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellations, rescheduling, or force majeure:
- Inca Trail permits — once issued by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture, they cannot be refunded, transferred, or exchanged under any circumstances.
- Machu Picchu entrance tickets — once purchased, admission tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Date changes are subject to availability and government regulations, and cannot be guaranteed.
- Train tickets (Peru Rail / Inca Rail) — train tickets to Aguas Calientes are non-refundable once issued. Date changes may be possible subject to the operator’s policy and an additional fee.
- Flights or private transportation booked on your behalf by Wayra Adventures.
- Any other third-party services already paid and confirmed as non-recoverable.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers these non-refundable costs in case of unforeseen cancellation.
Cancellations by Wayra Adventures
If Wayra Adventures cancels a tour due to weather, safety concerns, low participation, or force majeure, you will receive:
- A 90% refund of all amounts paid, OR
- The option to reschedule at no additional cost.
How to Cancel
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via WhatsApp or email. The cancellation is effective on the date the written notice is received by Wayra Adventures.
Rescheduling
You may reschedule your tour up to 7 days before the original departure date at no extra charge, subject to availability. Rescheduling requests made within 7 days will be treated as cancellations.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and emergency evacuation — especially for multi-day treks such as the Inca Trail, Ausangate, or Choquequirao.
