On this full-day tour from Cusco, your certified local guide will lead you through the iconic citadel revealing its secrets: the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana stone, the Room of the Three Windows, the agricultural terraces, and the breathtaking panoramic viewpoints. All Wayra Adventures guides are trained and certified in Andean history, archaeology, and culture.
Unlike mass tourism agencies, Wayra Adventures keeps groups small (maximum 10 people) so every traveler gets a personal, authentic experience. Our guides are bilingual (Spanish/English) and deeply knowledgeable in Inca history, archaeology, and Andean spirituality.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book?
We strongly recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance. Machu Picchu entrance tickets sell out months ahead during peak season (June–August). Contact us via WhatsApp and we’ll check availability immediately.
Can I upgrade to the Vistadome train?
Yes! The Vistadome train has panoramic windows and is a spectacular experience. Upgrade cost is $75 USD per person. Request at booking.
What circuit of Machu Picchu is included?
Circuit 1 or 2 depending on availability when you book. Both circuits cover all the major highlights. We’ll confirm your specific circuit at booking.
Is Machu Picchu suitable for children?
Yes, for children aged 5 and up in reasonable physical condition. The walk is gentle on the main circuits. Children under 7 receive a $50 discount on the entrance fee — contact us for pricing.
What’s the best time to visit Machu Picchu?
May–October (dry season) offers clearer skies and better views. June–August is peak season. November–March is rainy season but much less crowded — Machu Picchu in the mist is equally magical.
Do I need to be fit for this tour?
No extreme fitness required. The guided tour involves walking on uneven stone paths for about 2 hours. Comfortable shoes are essential. The altitude at Machu Picchu (2,430m) is actually lower than Cusco (3,400m), so most visitors feel better there.
